My name is Antony, I am an established local solar designer, installer and solar consultant with a building and engineering background. Originally from the U.K I have lived with off-grid solar in the Brynderwyn hills (between Mangawhai, Waipu, and Maungaturoto) in Northland for over 12 years.
I have found there are certain brands and components that stand well above the rest to perform long term. Compliance is important, as is designing and building solar to meet each unique site and each unique household.
Living off-grid requires adjustments, as does living with solar power. With awareness of this the freedom and independence can be incredibly rewarding.
